    Default Onsrud 5/16" foam bit

    Hey everyone,

I have an Onsrud 52-570 foam bit. I'm not really sure the best way to mount it in my PC Router.

The bit has a 5/16" diameter.

My thinking is that I should find some kind of bushing so that I could fit it in my 3/8" collet. But I'm not sure what to buy or where to buy it.

Anyone have any advice on this?

    Call Haurtlauer bits.

    http://www.hartlauer-bits.com/

On their site - click on the pdf catalogue and on the last page I think they have what you are looking for.

Dave, just purchase a 5/16" collet and be done with it.
Here's one source for er collet types for a porter cable

Precise bits don't list a 5/16 collet. If you read their page you will see that you have to use their own nut and collet.

Thats correct it's a copy of an er collet system as on spindles
One nut works for all collets. Buy the collets sizes needed and a nut & wrench.
    the 5/16 collect is PCPG-0429-8MM 7th on the list(for 8mm & 5/16")

I over looked the 8mm not thinking in metric terms.
